Privacy Policy
We built RingJob to help field service teams work smarter. This policy explains what information we handle, why we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information collected through the RingJob marketing website (for example, ringjob.com and www.ringjob.com), our cloud-based field service software and related services (including web and mobile applications), and communications we send in connection with those services. It does not govern third-party sites or services that we do not control.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use RingJob, we may collect categories such as:
- Account and profile data (name, email, company, role, credentials, and settings you choose to provide).
- Customer and operational data you store in the product (jobs, clients, messages, documents, schedules, notes, and similar business records).
- Billing and payment-related information processed by our payment partners (we generally do not store full card numbers on our servers).
- Communications metadata and content needed to provide telephony, SMS, team chat, and notifications (for example, call/SMS logs, phone numbers, routing data, and message content as required to deliver the service).
- Device and technical data (browser type, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, diagnostics, and security logs).
- Support interactions (emails, tickets, and call recordings if you consent or as permitted by law).
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve RingJob (including scheduling, dispatch, CRM, invoicing, and integrated communications).
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Communicate with you about service updates, security alerts, and (where permitted) marketing—you can opt out of promotional messages as described in those communications.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example, hosting, telecommunications carriers, SMS/voice providers, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, and customer support tools), subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect RingJob and our users.
If your organization uses RingJob, administrators may be able to access or export certain data about users and customers in accordance with your workspace settings and agreements.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods can vary based on the type of data and your account status.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords, multi-factor authentication where available, and careful handling of customer data inside your organization.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise applicable rights, contact us at support@ringjob.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
California residents: we provide notices and choices as required by the CCPA/CPRA. You can contact us to exercise “Do Not Sell or Share” and other rights where they apply.
8. International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own.
9. Children
RingJob is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes. If you believe we have collected information from a child in error, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate (for example, by email or in-product notification).
